Tips for Sending Out Wedding Invites

April 29th, 2014

There’s no doubt that getting married means planning many different aspects for one day. Once you have your date picked out, it’s time to think about Save the Dates, if that’s something you want to send to your guests.

While there’s no requirement of when to send out Save the Dates, if you’re planning a destination wedding, a long weekend full of events, or you want to make sure all your guests can attend, send out the Save the Dates about six to eight months before your nuptials. This will help ensure that your guests know when you plan to tie the knot, and they can clear their calendars accordingly.

Next you’ll want to think about the wedding invitations, which we highly recommend if you want guests to show up! All joking aside, we recommend you send out the wedding invites about six to eight weeks before you say, “I do.” And ask for your guests to RSVP approximately two to three weeks before your wedding, so you can provide a final headcount to the caterer, and so you can complete your seating chart.

Now that you know how much time you need before sending out your Save the Dates and invitations, the fun stuff begins – picking out the style of invites! With various styles to choose from, the task of choosing your invites can seem daunting. For this reason, we have compiled a selection of the most popular wedding invitations, here.

Take a look through our options, and let us know if you have any questions or need further guidance in choosing a color scheme, style or even the wording for the invite.

Happy wedding planning!
